Cross Country by Jozier

When I was running I came up to the top where we start to run. I was very very tired out because I ran three times and  couldn’t see where I was going because the sun was blocking my way from running around the court.   When I did four rounds I started to slow down and I was going to stop because I was tired.  I was happy because I saw all my friends.

On cross country  I  came third and I was puffing. I did  great and there was these big boys in front of me. That was my best time ever.

The  Pohutukawa team  went  to  Arataki.  We  ate  our lunch. Then we  got  some seeds and  threw  them  into  the  sky and they  landed  somewhere. Then  we went  into a  colourful  tunnel  and  then  we  went down  the  hill.  We  saw  some  big teenager  plants.  Then  we  planted  some  plants  and  had  a  race  of  not  dropping your  plant.

I went to the art festival my daddy took me there. I found my  picture.  It was a poppy filled picture.  I felt good because it was a really good picture.

I  went to cross country when it was our turn  I came 14th. I felt happy because I did better than before.

I felt scared when Mrs Lawson was calling the name out, but when I came into the  pool I didn’t feel so scared any more.Then when I got into the pool I felt cold because it was like ice. In the end I came third.

Morning Tea by Marley

At   morning  tea  we  eat  and  play   with  our  friends  sometimes  some   people   play on the court and  field  and  some  boys  play  on  the  park.  Some   boys  play  on  the   flying  fox.  After  morning  tea  we  do  handwriting.  Today  the  whole  class  did  lower  case  k’s.  I like my  handwriting  because  I  think  it  is  neat.

At music I played a song.   It was called,  Song of the Wind.  I played it three times.

I like it because it was fun.

On Wednesday I went down to the forest and planted some  plants.  Nate got to go first and then I went.  Then we talked about it and then we went to class and wrote about it.  I wrote about how much I  liked it.  I thought it was the best thing ever. I liked it because it was exquisite.   

Gardening Club by Georgia

On  Tuesday  I  go to  gardening   club.  We plant  lots  of  plants   like   micro greens and  mustard seeds.    We  also  take  out  weeds  that have  been in the garden.  We also  plant beans as well. We  collected bean  seeds.  On Tuesday  when I went  there  I got to make a scarecrow.

On the day of swimming sports when it was time for me to race I came first in all the races.  I felt happy.

I got this certificate because I came second to first and second before third in the flutter board freestyle.

At  Cracker  Jacks I  went  up   on   the   stage   to  get    the    cards.

Room two made an  ice cream graph there were  lots of types of ice creams.   We used  fluffy balls  then we  painted the balls.   They  were  on  paper cones.  The  paper  cones  were  orange  cones.   My  favourite  type   was   mango.   We  put  three   balls   on   and   we   glued    them   on.   We  had to   put  the   fluffy balls into glue  with   our   fingers.

The Birds by Kiedis

The birds want to listen to the story, “Flea and Robber Cat.”  The green bird went up and the purple and white bird went down.

For a week we had to water the plant’s 

and treat them very kindly.

After lunch room two do reading some people get to read outside because they were reading quietly.

After assembly I got my ball signed. I felt lucky.

On Friday it was the Forest Opening. We sang some songs. Then my brother handed a plant to the school. Then it was the end. Then we went in the forest.

At buzz groups I showed my poster and a ball. I went with my mum and brother and sister. We went to the cloud.

Garden Club by Jamie

On Fridays I go to Gardening Club behind the church. We go to Gardening Club with Sussanne. We rip plants out that are dead. I got this choko from the gardening club.

Tiritiri Matangi

We had an amazing day on the ferry, walking in the forest, observing the birds, sketching the lighthouse and enjoying the sea spray on the back of the ferry on the way home.
